Message from the Director
State Treasurer Marlo Oaks recently announced the appointments of MarkSiddoway and David Zucker to fill two vacancies on the School and Institutional Trust Fund Office’s five-member Board of Trustees.
In addition, The Utah State Senate recently voted to support Governor Cox’s appointment of Dan Simons to fill a vacancy on the Trust Lands Administration’s (SITLA’s) seven-member Board of Trustees.
The Protection and Advocacy Office takes seriously its statutory responsibility of shepherding the nomination processes when these vacancies occur. The caliber of the individuals serving on these respective policy boards is a vital component of ensuring maximal performance and professionalism from these important management entities of Utah’s Trust System.
The Protection and Advocacy Office congratulates and appreciates these individuals for their expertise and willingness to serve. The office also wishes to publicly thank outgoing SITFO board members John Lunt and Kent Misener, as well as outgoing SITLA board member Richard Woodbury. These individuals have contributed greatly to the Trust System’s success during their terms of volunteer service.
